Growing organisations whose day-to-day operations are dependant upon Internet and site-to-site connectivity may wish to look beyond contended ADSL services to ensure that bandwidth is available to the business on demand, and that access is assured by a Service Level Agreement.
As a step up from an un-contended SDSL, or bonded SDSL service, a leased line provides a company with a dedicated connection, either between remote sites, or to the Internet for the delivery of high speed, low latency network traffic.
Leased lines are provisioned over fibre optic, or copper cabling with the circuit bearers being capable of wither 2, 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps of data throughput.
In a point-to-point connection between sites typically the full capacity of the bearer is made available, although where the leased line is Internet facing, the Internet bandwidth can be throttled in 2 Mbps increments to balance up front cost against future capacity requirements.
Our leased line services are monitored 24/7 and supplied with a managed Cisco router to allow for detailed diagnostic testing and performance monitoring. Services are available with static public IP addresses which can be routed down a backup ADSL or SDSL connection, or to other sites should the primary link ever fail.
Syscomm would welcome the opportunity to discuss your wide area connectivity infrastructure requirements, and how low cost xDSL services can be paired with dedicated services to achieve a high performing, cost effective and resilient VPN, MPLS or Private WAN infrastructure for your organisation.
